Hebrew Modeh Ani - Jewish Morning Prayer Jigsaw Puzzle
- from our Affiliates
Traditionally, the first words a Jew is to say upon waking up in the morning. The Hebrew text translates to, "I give thanks to You living and everlasting King for You have restored my soul with mercy. Great is Your faithfulness." Often, it's the first prayer a Jewish child learns and, as such, is a popular gift or room decor item. In the Hebrew text, the vocalization of the last syllable in the first word was removed, so one can choose to read it as "modeh" (masc.) or "modah" (fem.) - and fits all children.
