Old Land Rovers have always appealed to me . Although I have never driven one , their utilitarian ruggedness and Classic appearance inspired me to paint them. My Grandad worked on a farm in Mowsley , a Village in Leicestershire , so I grew up with an appreciation of all things Rural especially Old barns ,farms and the English Countryside.The dog in this picture was a true friend- A dog I walked miles with.
