A photographic postcard of Savannah, Georgia featuring Colonial Park, the oldest intact cemetery of Savannah, GA, USA. With interment of approximately 10,000 between 1750 and 1853, 531 tombstones remain. The use of tombs, as seen in the photography, and the Yellow Fever of 1820, vandalism and the grounds being claimed for other uses accounts for the difference. Savannah is often said to be a city built on its dead and as most all of historic downtown Savannah, Colonial Park has many stories of hauntings.
