View of the famous local surf spot "Blackies" from on the pier in Newport Beach, California. Back in 1953, William "Blackie" Blackstock opened the dive bar, Blackies by the Sea. Since then, locals have called this beach "Blackies", and it is a popular surf spot for long boarders and beginners. Photo taken November 2022.
