Big Obsidian Flow, Oregon Postcard

A bright sunny afternoon on the trail of the Big Obsidian Flow, located in the Newberry National Volcanic Monument, Oregon. It last erupted about 1,300 years ago, which makes it the youngest lava flow in Oregon. It is full of shiny black obsidian rock, white pumice & gray pumice, & the views from the trail are beautiful! This photo was taken summer 2018.
