Built in 1874, this building cost $1,500 to construct. Above the second floor windows is the Mason's Square and Compass carved out of hardwood and placed on a breadboard donated by Mrs. A.F. Graeter. This structure is a gothic centerpiece of Montana's Bannack ghost town. The town is the most pristine high-country ghost town in the country. It has not been inhabited since the mid-20th century and is currently a Montana State Park. If you like the architecture and historical significance of this structure as much as I do, then you will enjoy it hanging in your home, office, or establishment.
