Vintage George Lambdin Still Life with Roses Accent Pillow Affiliate icon

A beautiful print of "Still Life with Roses" an 1883, oil on lacquered wood panel by George Lambdin (1830-1896) an American painter born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the prolific portrait painter James Reid Lambdin who painted some of America’s presidents including Abraham Lincoln. George Lambdin painted camp life, and domestic scenes that often included soldiers but is best known for floral still life paintings and especially roses grown in his own garden. Lambdin studied in Philadelphia, Munich, Paris, and Rome. In 1868 he was elected to the National Academy of Design and was also an academician of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.
