A ship painting scheme invented by British artist Norman Wilkinson and used in WWI. It’s purpose was to confuse enemy observers making the ship’s size, speed and direction of travel difficult to determine. Arthur Lismer, a British-Canadian artist and a member of the Group of Seven, painted RMS Olympic as she appeared in dazzle camouflage in WWI.
