February 20, 1954, was the last passenger trolley trip on the Hagerstown & Frederick Railway system, bringing and end to almost 60 years of trolley service in central Maryland. While some city trolley services remained, this system was the last interurban railway to keep a schedule in the northeastern United States. This collection of items features a photograph from that day which has been colorized by H&F Railway Historical Society volunteers in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the end of service.
