That day, LA radio's K-Lite became Pirate Radio, and DJ Scott Shannon launched it all by playing GnR's "Welcome to the Jungle" every hour for an entire day and was commercial free for weeks ! It was the most exciting thing to happen to LA radio since Rick Dee's killed the Disco Duck ! The station lasted only 4 years but left its mark forever.
