The next generation successor to the Hubble Space Telescope, NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope, is on station and producing its first usable full color images of the cosmos. They are truly amazing. This image is an iconic grouping of galaxies known as Stephan’s Quintet, also known as the Hickson Compact Group 92. In the coming years, JWST will produce incredible new images of planets, stars, nebulae, dust clouds, and galaxies to advance the science of astronomy.
