Robert the Bruce Declaration of Arbroath T_Shirt Affiliate icon

This t-shirt for supporters of Scottish independence features the famous portrait of the great patriot and freedom fighter Robert the Bruce with the Scottish Gaelic phrase Saor Alba - Free Scotland in orange gothic style lettering. The King of Scots is shown wearing the crown and in full battle dress. On the back of the t-shirt are the famous words from the historic declaration of Scottish independence known as the Declaration of Arbroath. It was originally written in Latin and signed on April 6th, 1320, at Arbroath Abbey, six years after The Bruce defeated the English at Bannockburn in 1314. Printed in black lettering, it reads 'For as long as but a hundred of us remain alive, never will we on any conditions be brought under English rule. It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom - for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.' The 700th anniversary of the Battle of Bannockburn takes place this year. The referendum on independence for Scotland from the Westminster government also takes place this year, on 18th September 2014, when people living and working in Scotland will vote on our country's future as an independent nation. You can change the colour and style of the text on the front of the tee to suit with the customize button.
