The lymphatic system is a part of the circulatory system, comprising a network of lymphatic vessels that carry a clear fluid called lymph. The lymphatic organs play an important part in the immune system. The system includes lymphoid tissue in lymph nodes and other structures dedicated to the circulation and production of lymphocytes: the spleen, thymus, bone marrow and the lymphoid tissue associated with the digestive system like palatine tonsil.
