This round porcelain ornament celebrates one of America's national parks - Assateague Island National Seashore. Located on Maryland's eastern shore, Assateague takes you back to a different time. It is home to wild horses and other wildlife...and not much else, which is precisely its charm. You may visit for a time, but it is essentially a protected space under the Parks Service, thankfully, so it may be kept pristine. The front shows the picture of the beach; the reverse has the location written in fancy text, along with "Merry Christmas".
