My personal favorite photo of this majestic and historic landmark, known as Saratoga Race Course. Fans have been flocking to this landmark racetrack for over 150 years. Every Summer race fans and horse lovers have been counting down the days until the following season. They return to be part of the history, the charm and the excitement of the finest racing in the country. The best jockeys, trainers and owners compete for top honors. The highlight of every meet is the Travers Stakes or better known as the Summer Derby. Past winners winners include: Man O' War, Whirlaway, Native Dancer, Sword Dancer, Buckpasser, Damascus, Alydar, and Bernardini. The Travers is the oldest stakes race in America, first running was captured by a horse named "Kentucky" in 1864. The entrance to this historic landmark is the iconic lawn jockeys of last year's stakes winners with the center water fountain and luscious red flowers. Forego
