State Flag of Colorado Shot Glass Affiliate icon

This design features the flag of the state of Colorado, which is an area of the Western United States that contains most of the southern Rocky Mountains as well as the northeastern part of the Colorado Plateau and the western edge of the Great Plains. It is sometimes known as the Centennial State, and its motto is "nil sine numine", which means "nothing without providence". The flag was designed by Andrew Carlisle Carson in 1911. The blue of the flag is intended to represent the clear skies, the gold stands for the bright sunshine that the state enjoys, the white represents the snow-capped mountains and the red represents the ruddy earth. The letter C on the flag, of course, stands for Colorado. The state capital of Colorado is Denver, which is also the state's largest city. Other major cities and towns in Colorado include Colorado Springs, Aurora, Fort Collins, Lakewood, Thornton, Arvada, Westminster, Pueblo, Centennial, Boulder, Greeley, Longmont, Loveland and Broomfield.
