This Romanticism literary masterpiece titled, Narcissus is made by the famous painter, John William Waterhouse using oil on canvas in 1912. Waterhouse's early works were not Pre-Raphaelite in nature, but were of classical themes in the spirit of Alma-Tadema and Frederic Leighton. These early works were taught at the Dudley Gallery, and the Society of British Artists, and in 1874 in Sleep and Brother Sleep and Death was spent at the Royal Academy's intention.
