Saint Scholastica is the patron saint of education, nuns, and children who have convulsions. She is also invoked against bad weather. Near her time of death she and her brother Benedict were discussing religion. When he said he had to leave, she prayed to god to keep him by her so they could continue their talk. The storm God sent kept Benedict from leaving.
