Distant Galaxies & Clusters | Gravitational Lens | Jigsaw Puzzle
- from our Affiliates
This image from the James Webb Space Telescope (NIRCam) is full of distant galaxies, some warped due to gravitational leasing and some are massive galaxy clusters (Like SDSS J1226+2149). An example of this lensing effect is the long and bright distorted galaxy in the lower right part of the image named the Cosmic Seahorse. Credit: ESA/Webb, NASA & CSA, J. Rigby.
