This image of The Pillars of Creation is a combination from the Mid-Infrared Instrument (MIRI) and the Near-Infrared one (NIRCam) of the JWST (James Webb Space Telescope) that shows dense areas of gas and dust. The Pillars of Creation are between 6500-7000 light-years away from Earth. A large number of stars are spread in this scene and were detected by NIRCam in the Near-Infrared light.
