Built between 1589 and 1630, it's construction was directed by Juan Bautista Antonelli, an Italian military engineer. It served as a fort and a lighthouse until the British invasion in 1762. The lighthouse was built in 1844 to replair the damages and upgrade to a newer one. Keep in mind that the lighter colored fabrics may bleed through the whites in the image.
