The Scottish Hay Clan’s centuries-long stronghold and home of the chief was New Slains Castle, located in Aberdeenshire. The names of the castle and clan are in a gold-toned font. Now a roofless ruin, it overlooks the North Sea east of Cruden Bay in Scotland.The Hay family owned property in the area from the 1400s. The back features the family's blue and green "Hunting Tartan" and a brief clan history. The tartan is under Crown copyright and is used courtesy of the Scottish Register of Tartans.
