This is a vector drawing of the city from the hotel. Pripyat (founded in 1970.) was a town by the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant where most of the workers and their families lived. They now offer tours of the abandoned area. The last reactor was only shut down in the the late part of 1999. The tagline comes from the line "May our children – our happiness, our joy - live on a sunny planet!" which was found in a photo album in a nursery. Pripyat was a town filled with young families. (most of my information comes from Pripyat.com and the old articles on BBC news.)
