A black and white poster for cat lovers featuring a pen and ink drawing of a black cat waving his wild tail as he walks through snowy woods. The freedom loving feline stars in the children's story The Cat That Walks By Himself by Rudyard Kipling first featured in the 1902 edition of his Just So stories for children. Unlike the dog, the independent moggy refuses to be tamed by Man or Woman, announcing: 'I am not a friend and I am not a servant. I am the Cat who walks by himself and all places are alike to me.' Below the main drawing is a sketch of the landscape with the cave where Man and Woman live and which the cat turns up his nose at. Man is riding his horse calling on the Dog servant to come to heel. You can add a colour border to suit with the customise button.
