Common Snapping Turtle - Chelydra serpentina Drink Coaster
- from our Affiliates
Snapping turtles have a neck long enough to allow their heads to reach their hind feet. Do not bother these turtles as they have strong jaws and will bite if they feel threatened. Do not pick them up by the tail; this doesn't keep you from being bitten and it could hurt the turtle. They are naturally shy and would prefer to run away from people.
