These waste wood burners used to be scattered all over rural Oregon, a state with a rich history of logging. The smoke created from burning waste products created pollution and poor air quality, so they were put out of use and are gradually being torn down. They are also referred to as wigwam burners, teepee burners, and beehive burners. The products once burned in them is now being repurposed into other products.
