For a long time I had been trying to apply designs to objects whose content transmitted love for nature. Especially the wonderful colors of tropical nature. The inspiration for drawing this botanical illustration from the town of Copaíba came from the desire to publicize the Atlantica forest in order to mobilize people to better understand the native trees of the Brazilian forests - those who know it have a greater chance of loving, protecting and conserving. The copal tree is a tree native to the Atlantic Rain Forest, from which the trunk is extracted a resin used as an essential and a half oil for painting on porcelain.
