This is the Disability Pride flag designed by Ann McGill, a disabled artist who collaborated with the community in the process. She's asked that it be used widely and freely and put it in public domain. This is the symbolism: "The Black Field: Represents our mourning for those of us (disabled people) who have suffered, lost their lives from Ableist violence, negligence, suicide and/ or eugenics. The Parallel Stripes: These represent solidarity within the Disability Community, despite our differences. The Five Colors: These colors represent the diversity within disability and our experiences (Mental Illness, Neurodiversity, Invisible and Undiagnosed Disabilities, Physical Disability, and Sensory Disabilities). The colors stand for: Red: physical disabilities Yellow: cognitive and intellectual disabilities White: invisible and undiagnosed disabilities Blue: mental illness Green: sensory perception disabilities" --- This has a good summary: https://www.meriahnichols.com/the-disability-pride-flag/ Image description created by the original creator minus my *edit: a “Straight Diagonal” version of the Disability Pride Flag: A charcoal grey flag with a diagonal band from the top left to bottom right corner, made up of five parallel stripes in red, gold, pale grey, blue, and green Description ends]
