Sailing on Lake Pend Oreille near Sandpoint, Idaho. The Idaho panhandle, referred to by locals as North Idaho, as if it is a separate state than the rest of Idaho, is a wonderful place. Forested mountains, clean air and water; moose, elk, bear, deer, eagles, Sasquatch (Bigfoot), etc. Try it, you'll like it. Lakes Pend Oreille and Coeur d'Alene, a well as Priest Lake, are particularly beautiful.
