The original art was created using acrylic paint and oil-based paint markers on an 8inx8in canvas. Even prior to my mental illness diagnoses I struggled with the idea that I had to be perfect, this painting is inspired by that idea. Perfection is a fantasy and there is so much beauty in imperfection and trusting the Universe's timing. "Stripes" started out with clean lines and slowly became more curvy and wiggly the further I practiced letting go. I hope "Stripes" reminds you to let go of perfection and let your Higher Power take control.
