This beautiful new infrared visual of Jupiter was taken in July 2022 by the James Webb Space Telescope. The JWST image shows the traditional red spot storm and the planet's colorful atmosphere. It also shows the planet's aurora, rings, and Amalthea and Adrastea, two of its moons. The image is rendered in blue, brown, and cream. Keep, edit, or delete the custom descriptive text.
