This is Daryl, son of the two Carols. Their family trio visits our balcony daily for snacks, and they follow us around the area. Poor Daryl has one deformed foot. His other foot has a huge growth on the back toe, and he loses feathers frequently. He also acts like a baby sometimes, so he might have some developmental issues. We're hoping he lives a long life anyway. I took this photo while Daryl waited patiently for his meal worms and raw peanuts. Fun fact: American Crows don't breed until they're at least two years old, and the young stay with their parents to help raise siblings for at least a few years. Families can be as large as 15 members of 5 generations. In some places, individual crows will spend part of the day with huge flocks and the other part of the day with family. The oldest known crow in the wild was 17.5 years old, but the oldest in captivity lived to be 59! My shop uses a low royalty rate to provide the lowest prices to customers. All proceeds from this store support wildlife conservation efforts.
