Chuck Wills Widow Nightjar with Coral Snake Window Cling Affiliate icon

These two Chuck-Will's-Widow birds appears to be hunting a deadly coral snake. This nocturnal bird in the nightjar family lives across the southeastern United States. It is an owl like bird that is often confused with the Whipoorwill because of their similar calls. The bird gets it's unusual name from its call which sounds like "Chuck Wills Widow." This vintage art print is plate 52 in John James Audubon's Birds of America series.
