Audubon Fork_Tailed Flycatcher Bird Vintage Art Postcard Affiliate icon

This male Fork Tailed Flycatcher is perched on a flowering gardenia branch. This beautiful bird is also known as a tyrannus savanna and is a type of kingbird. It can be found wintering as far south as Argentina and in the summer they fly as far north as Canada. To see one in North America is a rare treat since they are native to southern Mexico, yet often wader far north from their habitats using their long forked tails to maneuver quickly and gracefully. These acrobatic birds also fly with impressive speed. A vintage art reproduction of a John James Audubon original art print. This is bookplate 168 of Audubon's "Birds of America" series.
