The vintage "Vinegar Valentine" depicts a man in bed while his dog is standing on the bed passing gas, his reacting end toward the man's face. The man dreams of stinky Limburger cheese as takes a whiff of the foul odor. The front of the card says "Best Valentine Greetings from One Who Cares." The message inside the card is, "Hope your Valentine's Day is a gas!" Vinegar Valentines were enjoyed in the late 1890s to the 1940s and were a way of sending an insulting greeting to someone you don't like or someone you want to have fun.
