A vintage children's book illustration by Florence May Anderson depicts a beautiful garden scene with a turquoise lake and sky, trees, and mountains in the distance. A young blonde girl stands face to face with a gorgeous angel or fairy with white gossamer wings, wearing a pastel green gown decorated with pink roses. They gaze at each other as if meeting for the first time. The English artist, Florence Mary Anderson (1874-1930) also illustrated under her maiden name Molly MacArthur or Florence Mary MacArthur.
