Antique Latin calligraphy with Maltese Cross, mussel and ladybird illumination. Pages from a 16th century illuminated manuscript titled 'Mira calligraphiae monumenta', in collaboration of two exceptional artists of the era. The fabulous calligraphy was created in 1561-62 by György Bocskay, Croatian-born court secretary to the Holy Roman Emperor Ferdinand I - the fine illustrations of flowers, fruits and insects were added by Belgian painter and illuminator Jorist Hoefnagel about 30 years later, after Bocskay's death. DEFAULT PRINT SIZE IS 12" WIDE. I DO NOT RECOMMEND TO CHOSE A WIDER PRINT SIZE THAN 16" FOR ANY PRODUCT. IF YOU DO THAT, PLEASE BE AWARE THAT LARGER PRINTS MAY LOSE THE ORIGINAL IMAGE QUALITY OF THE MANUSCRIPT.
