“Stormy Cerebral” is the first painting in a radiograph tree series by Lizzy Rainey, R.T.(R), of Lafayette, Indiana. In a tempestuous expression of color the artist has painted the vessels of the brain from a cerebral angiogram. The trunk is kinked and travelling upward as an old tree would. Keeping the form of the head itself the brain's vessels are tangled and blowing sideways creates a pattern of branches bent by the wind on a stormy day.
