Swamp Rabbit Train mural at the Whistle Stop Cafe Postcard

This mural pictures the Swamp Rabbit Train that ran in Greenville, SC in the 1940‘s and 50‘s, hauling lumber. By the 1960's it became the attraction in a nearby amusement park. I designed it for the Whistle Stop Cafe in Travelers Rest, SC. The train is the same scale as the original. My goal was to integrate a working pizza oven, that protrudes 5 ft from the wall. It became the cowcatcher, a metal frame in front of the train. From the perspective of the photographer, the oven blends in completely with the mural.
